Description
The Hoshizaki IM-500SAB is an air-cooled modular ice machine head that creates up to 489 pounds of large cube ice in a 24 hour period. This IM-500SAB measures 44 inches wide and 21-3/4 inches high. This unit is part of Hoshizaki's Stackable series, allowing you to double or even triple ice production within the same floor footprint. This unit has a durable stainless steel exterior and the interior surfaces that come into contact with water and ice are protected by the H-GUARD Plus antimicrobial agent.
The large Regular Cube style ice measures 1" by 1" by 1-1/4". The larger cube melts more slowly, thus making this ice ideal for alcoholic beverages, since there will be less dilution of the drink.
The IM-500SAB ice machine includes Hoshizaki's EverCheck System. This system constantly monitors the ice machine's status and water quality and provides audible alerts when problems or issues arise. The CycleSaver feature allows the IM-500SAB from Hoshizaki to create more ice per cycle. Fewer ice cycles for the same amount of ice means saving money and time. The self-contained cooling system for this ice machine model utilizes R-404A refrigerant.
The IM-500SAB has a stainless steel evaporator plate. Hoshizaki is the only ice machine company that provides a stainless steel evaporator plate, which makes it durable and long-lasting. The Hoshizaki IM-500SAB is an ideal model for mid-sized foodservice establishments, fast food restaurants, and businesses with mid-level daily ice needs. Note that this modular, stackable ice machine head will require a suitable bin to store the ice it creates.
